Take a Farm Tour

One of CPOF’s main goals is to increase organic farming awareness in K-6th graders. Currently we host approximately 2-4 schoolchildren’s groups per month and have received small grants to continue this work. If you are an educator and wish to visit our farm, please do contact us at orgfarm@calpoly.edu.

If your group is associated with Cal Poly, agricultural education, or gardening, we highly encourage you to schedule a farm tour. Generally the tour includes a description of the current farm, the history, an explanation of certified organic, and a farm activity such as harvesting or planting. Some tours include a food sampling of local produce and products.

Stroll through the Grounds
The farm is open to the public Mondays and Thursdays between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. This is also when our CSA members pick up their shares. You can meet up with the students, staff and faculty and get to know your local, organic, university farm. A small library is on site that offers information on vegetables and organic farming techniques. Children especially like the hammock and chickens! Find Us.
